58-year-old man Stabbed to Death in Chinatown

April 04, 2022 | MANHATTAN, NY: A fatal stabbing incident occurred Monday afternoon in Chinatown after a dispute escalated and a 58-year-old man was gravely injured, police said. According to authorities, just after 4:30 p.m., NYPD officers responded to 911 calls of a fight between two men at 125 Division Street. Upon arrival officers located the elderly man with stab wounds to the mid-section.

The 58-year-old severely wounded man was rushed by EMS to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition where he subsequently died of his injuries, police said.

The stabbing incident occurred just a few blocks away from where according to police officials, an on-duty school crossing guard was assaulted Monday morning on Bowery and Bayard Street. The suspect also fled that incident.

No arrests have been made in either cases and the investigations are ongoing in both incidents.
