Man Shot and Killed on Manhattan Subway in Broad Daylight

May 22, 2022 | MANHATTAN, NY: A 48-year-old man Daniel Enriquez was shot in the chest and killed while riding a Q train on Sunday morning. The train arrived at the Canal St Subway Station in Chinatown, NYC and the male victim was rushed by EMS to Bellevue Hospital, but did not survive his injuries, police said.

The shooting occurred on the northbound Q train just before 12 noon, as the moving train was arriving at the canal street station, when the perpetrator opened fire upon a random victim, striking the individual with one shot to the torso during an unprovoked attack, police said.

The suspect fled the station and there are no arrests at this time. The investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.
