Man Shot in Bayridge; Suspect in Custody

April 04, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: A man was shot in the back Monday afternoon and critically injured, cops said. The incident was reported to police around 2:15 pm and occurred near the intersection of third Avenue and 65th Street in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn.

According to police officials, around 8 rounds of gunfire were discharged. The shooting incident happened in close proximity of the NYPD 68th precinct. The victim was transported to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn and listed in stable condition, police said.

A suspect in the shooting incident was detained at the scene and taken into police custody but no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
