The PACT Act, the bill in question, would no longer force generations of veterans to prove that their illness was caused by toxic exposures in order to get VA coverage.

On Sunday afternoon, senator Chuck Schumer held a press conference with veterans from New York City and Long Island, to announce that despite Senate GOP action on the Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022, stopping it from passing last week, Schumer says that there will be a new vote this week.

Schumer announced today in New York City, that he will bring the bill to the floor for a re-vote and both he and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will urge republicans to vote ‘yes.’
