Yale University Encampment REMOVED AND ARRESTED hours after Hundreds Linked Armes to Protect It

April 21 2024 NEW HAVEN, CT – Hundreds gathered at Beinecke Plaza on Sunday evening to support the encampment set up on Yale University grounds.

A small Pro-Israel counter protest gathered outside of the Liberated Zone, singing American and Israeli national anthem as they waved flags.

Hundreds of Palestine supporters created a multiple layer human wall as they surrounded the encampment to protect it.

In the early morning hours police stepped in and arrested students in the tents.

April 20 2024 NEW HAVEN, CT – Yale University students gathered on Friday night, setting up encampment on the University grounds in solidarity with Columbia University.

The camp ground stayed overnight in Beinecke Plaza.

Around midday, protesters marched to nearby building to confront Yale’s highest governing body trustees, gathered at the Greenberg Conference Center a few blocks away. After 20 minutes chanting they marched back to Beinecke Plaza where they were confronted by a man in orthodox Jewish attire and another man with a Tshirt that read “Fuck Hamas”.

April 18 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – NYPD raid Colombia University ‘Liberated Zone’ encampment, arresting at dozens of people who refused to leave, facing suspensions and arrests.

Protesters gathered outside the gates of Columbia University as arrestees were walked out, one by one, in handcuffs to cheers and chants “Free Palestine”.

The encampment was removed and cleared, shortly after University students set up another tent “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” on the opposite lawn.

Protest outside marched through the street, at one point a fight broke out resulting in arrest.

Students and faculty held a press conference outside, tearfully describing events of the RAID on encampment and student’s suspensions.

April 17 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – “Liberated Zone” on Columbia University Lawn set up by Pro-palestine Protesters demanding Liberation for Gaza and Palestine.

Starting from 3am, hundreds of Columbia University students in New York City demonstrated a sit-in and transformed the main lawn into a “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” on the campus grounds.

According to some attendees of the protest, Columbia University admin has mobilized NYPD against students & barricaded entrances while university issued orders of dispersal.

Students have reportedly been threatened with suspension after being warned by Columbia’s Public Safety officers to leave the grounds.

Today a high-profile hearing is held at Columbia University, Rep. Virginia Foxx accused Columbia’s leaders of “gross negligence” that she says endangered Jewish students.
