Elderly Woman Critical after Being Hit by Truck

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan — December 10, 2019:

An elderly woman was in critical condition after being mowed down by a Brink’s truck near Columbus Circle Saturday, police said. The 85-year-old was walking near the intersection of Broadway and West 61st Street at about 3 p.m. when was she was hit by the truck, officials said. She sustained severe head and leg injuries and was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and has not been charged, police said.
