October 19, 2022 – Bronx, New York: Just after 3:30am, police responded to frantic early morning 911 calls for shots fired and a male shot near E 218th Street & White Plains Rd in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx.
A seriously injured 40-year-old male was found by 47th precinct police upon their arrival, with gunshot wounds to the chest, in front of the C-Market Foodtown at 3734 White Plains Road, which was closed at the time of the shooting.
EMS responded and rushed the victim to NYC Heath & Hospitals-Jacobi, where the 40-year-old male was pronounced dead from his injuries, police said.
Detectives are searching for a male suspect that fled from the location on foot towards Paulding Avenue on E 217th street.
At this time there are no arrests, and the investigation into the deadly shooting remains ongoing.
