February 17 2021 – ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey:
The last Trump building in Atlantic City was demolished early this morning bringing a visual end to what was once a casino empire. The building was gutted prior to this demolition, which saw the use of 3,000 sticks of dynamite.
Just after 9am, the Trump Plaza was demolished in a spectacular implosion before members of the press and VIPs.
In a parking lot not far away at Bader Field, crowds gathered in their vehicles to view the implosion. Crowd also gathered on a boardwalk and beach nearby. People gathered to say Goodbye to Trump Plaza as it Imploded today in Atlantic City. Many worked there for years, a married couple met there. Many tears were shed as people watched the building collapse.
Trump Plaza opened in 1984, but the former president ended most of his association with the property in 2009, excluding the use of his name, for which he collected a percentage.
