May 31, 2023 YONKERS, New York – Two people were shot including an 18-year-old struck in the leg and a 19-year-old male who was killed in Yonkers on Wednesday evening, according to police.
Police are saying the shooting occurred on Morris Street at around 8:30 p.m., officers located two men sitting inside a dark colored vehicle with the drivers side window riddled with bullet holes.
According to police officials, the pair of victims were sitting in a sedan when gunfire erupted and pierced through the driver’s side window. First responders performed CPR on the the 19-year-old male who was shot at least two twice, including once in the chest.
The victims were rushed to a local hospital while EMS continued life-saving procedures on the 19-year-old but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The 18-year-old is listed in stable condition and expected to survive.






Just a few hours later, at around 1:00am, officers responded to 11 Lawrence St. for a male shot.
The victim was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. There are no arrests in either incidents and the investigation is ongoing.
