46-year-old Man Shot Dead in NYC

May 20, 2022 | MANHATTAN, NY: Just before midnight, NYPD officers responded to radio calls of shots fired at 2949 Fredrick Douglas Boulevard in the West Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. Upon their arrival, police confirmed that a 46-year-old man was found shot and unresponsive. Officers observed the man to have at least two serious gun shot wounds.

According to police, the 46-year-old man suffered life threatening wounds after being shot in the torso and leg. EMS was requested and transported the man to an area hospital where subsequently he was pronounced dead, police said.

NYPD officers secured the parking lot of the Polo Grounds Towers and canvassed the area for shell casings and evidence in regards to the fatal shooting.

At this time there are no arrests. Detectives are searching for suspects that may have fled in a grey Honda and the investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.
