Water turns to ICE as Firefighters Battled 3-Alarm Fire in Paterson New Jersey

February 3 2023 PATERSON, New Jersey: Water quickly turned to ICE causing hazardous conditions as firefighters fought 3-Alarm fire in Paterson neighborhood.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. firefighters responded to 53-55 Oak St. for a heavy fire that spread flames through a vacant structure and melted the siding off a neighbors home.

The scene became hazardous to operated in due to extremely cold weather, water used to fight the fire almost instantly froze on contact with the ground and first responders.
