Man Shot in Harlem, Flees in Car, Crashes and Dies

November 27 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – A man was shot in the chest, attempted to flee by driving away, crashing the car, dying, police say.

Detectives in Harlem are searching for multiple suspects who were seen running away after a 39-year-old man was shot inside a vehicle and then crashed his car into the median near W 143rd Street & Broadway early Sunday morning.

Just after 3:00am, 30th precinct police officers responded to 911 calls of a person shot.

As officers arrived on scene they located a seriously injured man inside a crashed BMW with a gun shot wound to his chest. The male victim was rushed by EMS to Harlem hospital where according to police officials, the victim was pronounced dead.

At this time there are no arrests and the investigation into the deadly Harlem shooting is ongoing.
