Shooting at Teen Birthday Party Leaves Six Injured – LONG ISLAND

May 04, 2024 WESTBURY, Long Island – Six people were left injured after a Westbury house shooting at a teen birthday party caused a chaotic scene Friday evening, on Long Island, police said.

Upon arrival Nassau County Police found six people shot who all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were rushed to area hospitals by first responders.

FNTV spoke with a group of witnesses who attended the 18th birthday party and one who was injured trying to run away from gunfire.

“Everybody starts running, running, running. I got hurt in like the whole running incident. And while everyone’s running, you just see someone come out and you see the guy’s back, and his back is just bleeding bad.”, said one of the witnesses.

The teen went on to tell us that the event was supervised and calm until the chaos started. “The parents were there, it wasn’t like a house party, like a ‘ghetto party’ it was literally a birthday party.”

Detectives are working to find a gunman responsible as the investigation into the house party shooting continues.

The incident was reported just before 11 p.m, at a residence near Pepperidge Road & Eastfield Road in Westbury, Long Island.
