Child and Four Others Seriously Injured in Bronx Heavy Fire

October 23 2022 BRONX, New York – Five people, including a child were injured during a heavy two-alarm fire at 1316 Morris Avenue in the Bronx this Sunday morning.

EMS reports a total of five victims with varies injuries including an adult and infant that were both left critically injured. Three others sustained minor injuries and were treated by first responders, along with a firefighter.

People screamed as they watched EMS and firefighters tend to the victims and what appeared to be a seriously injured and unresponsive child being brought out of the Bronx apartment building.

According to FDNY radio transmissions, the fire has been deemed suspicious. At this time the cause of the blaze is not known and the investigation is ongoing.
