September 15 2022 STATEN ISLAND, New York – Funeral was held for fallen Port Authority officer and a baseball pitcher, Anthony Varvaro at Cebra Avenue and Victory Blvd.
Anthony Michael Varvaro was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves, and Boston Red Sox. Varvaro later became a police officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
