December 22, 2021 – Bronx detectives are actively searching for a shooting suspect following a deadly incident in the Allerton section of the Bronx Wednesday evening.
According to NYPD officials, just after 11:15 p.m., a 911 caller reported shots fired to police.
First responding officers of the 49th precinct located an unresponsive 40-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest lying on the ground
The critically wounded man found on the ground in front of a residential building at 2309 Holland Avenue was rushed by EMS to NYC Health & Hospitals-Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead, said police.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
