Woman is killed when a drag racing car hops a curb, driver Flees.

August 9 2021 Brooklyn, New York – A woman is dead and a man is in a hospital after a racing car hopped a curb and hit them while they stood at Brooklyn bus stop, according to cops.

It happened around 3 a.m. near the corner of Utica Avenue and Eastern Parkway in the Crown Heights part of Brooklyn, police said. A 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old male were standing at a bus stop while three cars were drag racing, when a red Dodge Charger hopped the curb and struck them, according to officials.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead, according to police.

According to police, after striking the victims, the driver of the Charger then jumped out of the vehicle and got into one of the other racing cars, fleeing the scene.

No arrests had been made at this time.
