February 10 2021 JERSEY CITY, New Jersey – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that two children, an 8 month and an 11 year old, died in the fire in Jersey City home Wednesday night.
At around 11:30 PM Jersey City fire department received multiple calls regarding a fire at 470 Martin Luther King Dr. Upon arrival Firefighters confirmed the fire engulfing the building and heavy smoke throughout the windows.
Fire-department reported children trapped in the apartment. Several officers were treated for smoke inhalation after running into the burnin building to rescue the children.
Both children passed away.
