Woman Found Dead After Fire in Brooklyn Home

June 05, 2023 – Brooklyn, NY: A woman was found dead after a fire broke out at a home in Brooklyn early Monday morning, officials said.

Just before 4:00 a.m., FDNY firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a home in Brooklyn. The incident occurred in a two-story home at 738 E. 52nd St. in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Reportedly the fire left at least 11 people displaced, not including the victim, according to the Red Cross at the scene.

The woman who has yet to be identified publicly was found deceased on the second floor of the home as other occupants inside were able to make it out with minor to no injuries.

FDNY fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire and the investigation is ongoing.
