Orthodox Jews Protest over new coronavirus restrictions in Brooklyn

Large crowd of Orthodox Jews gathered at the corner of 50th Street and 15th Avenue, in Borough Park Brooklyn last night (October 6) at about 9 p.m.

Community activist who is running for City Council, Heshy Tischler, spoke against Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio over the order that shuts down schools and businesses, and limits houses of worship to 10 people in certain COVID-19 cluster areas.

Later that night a larger group lit a fire in which they threw their masks in defiance. FDNY was later seen putting the fire out.
