June 04, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Thousands marched in Israel Day Parade in Manhattan this morning as some groups joined the parade to show solidarity with the hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting in Israel.
Protesters from NYC for Democracy and other various groups also stood along the side of the parade on 5th Avenue, while chanting against Bibi Netanyahu and Israel’s judicial reform.
Ameinu group of the Labor Zionist movement also joined the parade in solidarity with protests, they were seen wearing T-shirts that say “Zionism Equals Democracy” written in Hebrew, on the front and “Marching for Democracy” on the back.
The annual Celebrate Israel Day Parade in New York City has been billed as an apolitical event with thousands of people in attendance.
This year parade expected 50,000 people also joined by the protest of proposed judicial overhaul by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
