Two People Hit and Killed by Subway Train, Police Investigating the Cause

December 20 2022 MANHATTAN, New York – Two people were hit and killed by train in Greenwich village this morning, police are investigating to determine what happened.

Police arriving on 6th Avenue and 14th Street subway station, found the bodies of two people, a 63-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man on the westbound L train tracks.

Investigators said they do not believe the victims jumped or were pushed in this incident. NYC Mayor Adams who was on the scene shortly after the incident, also stated that it did not appear to be a shoving incident.

Some witnesses said they thought that one person fell on the tracks, while another attempted to save them.

Police continue to investigate and details are still unclear.
