Ten People Shot in Corona Queens

July 31 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
10 people were shot in North Corona, Queens shortly after 10:30pm on Saturday night.

Police say 3 to 4 suspects pulled up to a group of people standing in front of a laundromat on 98th Street and 37th Avenue and began shouting. They then opened fire as they drove down the block striking 8 men and 2 women with gunfire.


Police say that only 3 of the 10 people hit were the intended targets of the shooting and that it may be gang violence. The victims ages ranged between 19 and 72, and all are expected to survive, most of them receiving leg wounds.


Police shut down 5 blocks of 37th Avenue to investigate the crime

Two victims reported walked into Elmhurst Hospital.
