BREAKING: Columbia “will not divest from Israel,” and negotiators “were not able to come to an agreement,” urging  encampment to disperse VOLUNTARILY

April 29 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – early this morning, Columbia University president posted a statement detailing status of negotiations.

“We did not come to an agreement”, reads the latest statement from Columbia University this morning, “we urge those in the encampment to voluntarily disperse”.

With hundreds of students converging on both lawns with encampments remaining, all face possible disciplinary action after 2pm deadline for tent removal.

On April 28, students at Yale University RE-ESTABLISHED an encampment.

On the same day students of FIT in New York City re-established outdoor encampment in solidarity with Gaza.

FIT institute was STORMED on April 27th with protesters occupying area inside after pushing doors through security.

NYU University attempted to re-established encampment, having to remove the tents to avoid arrests.

Meanwhile at CUNY, Nardeen Kiswani, leader of WOL spoke last week, “Palestine calls this University Intifada” she spoke at the ‘Liberated Zone’ Encampment established on CUNY University Grounds. “It will be met with anger, it will be met with action from people all over New York City” – WOL organizer Nerdeen Kiswani spoke about possible raid at the newest encampment established at CUNY City College.

On Afternoon of April 25th, Clashes, shoving, and arrests outside of Columbia University as hundreds of Israel supporters confronted a couple dozen pro Palestine protesters at the Amsterdam gate.



Christian worship-singer Sean Feuchts had called for a rally on Thursday evening to pray for Israel. The group marched to theg gate and immediately began confronting counter protesters.


Next day, on April 25th, an attempt made for sweep of protester belongings by CUNY campus security but students pushed back and security was not able to sweep students off the grounds.



Director of Campus safety reportedly said the university did not tell campus security to start removal however unconfirmed
