August 19 2023 GLOUCESTER, Virginia – Boogaloo Bois and other VA militia groups gathered on Saturday afternoon in an armed protest outside of a kindergarten that hosts school board meetings in Gloucester Virginia.
Group gathered in defiance, protesting the arrest of three members after they were allegedly carrying a concealed weapon during a school board meeting a few weeks ago.
“It’s not about having a big protest, it’s about having men who believe in the 2nd amendment and will die for it”
If the group is armed on school property, they are violating the law, according to Mike Dunn, one of the militia leaders, who says they are not on school property.
The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office has responded to the Boogaloo demonstrations in official statement.
The Boogaloos had originally announced that they’d protest outside of the sheriff’s office, changing location last minute, instead rallying armed at the building where their friends were arrested after carrying firearms at the school board meeting.
No police or sheriff presence was obvious at the protest.
Earlier in the day militia members trained, shooting guns in nearby forest.
