June 22 2023, STATEN ISLAND , Mariner’s Harbor, New York – A woman was found stabbed to death inside her Staten Island home after alleged fight with her boyfriend, officials said.
Police responded at 10:06pm on Wednesday evening to 371 Van Name Ave near Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor in neighborhood of Staten Island, to a request of a wellness check.
Police say that 23-year-old Evelin Barajas Perez was arguing with her boyfriend at her home, when a neighbor who heard the fight, called 911 urging a wellness check. Police found Perez deceased, with multiple stab wounds to her body.
A Knife was recovered at the scene, according to officials. Investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
