June 21, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – A man was stabbed to death in the busy Washington Square Park in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the deadly incident happened around 4:25pm inside of Washington Square Park, usually packed with locals and students from nearby NYU university.
A 35-year-old man was stabbed in his chest and rushed to Lenox Hill Healthplex Greenwich Village where he was pronounced dead just a few hours later.
There are no arrests in regard and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
The identification of the deceased is pending family notification.
