Donald Trump, the first former president to be criminally charged, was arrested and arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court this Tuesday afternoon.

Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records, in relation to hush money payments made during 2016 presidential campaign.

Donald Trump pleaded not guilty as he appeared in front of the judge. Prosecutors allege he made illegal payments in order to impact the 2016 election results. Trump faces a maximum of four years in prison if convicted.
