No Pants Subway Ride – LGBTQ Spin

January 12 2020 – COLUMBUS CIRCLE, MANHATTAN:

A few dozen commuters belonging to the organizations Guy Social and Girl Social rode the subway without pants to benefit the Ali Forney Center, a nonprofit organization who’s mission is to protect LGBTQ individuals from the harms of homelessness and empower the with the tools to live independently.

This event was sponsored by Original Penguin clothing company and is distinct from the original event by Improve Everywhere, called the “No Pants Subway Ride” which was held on the same day (and crossed paths with this group.) This group kicked off their ride at Columbus Circle at around 3:30pm and rode the rails uptown and downtown, eventually leading them to Union Square, where they walked down 14th St to the Nowhere Bar in the East Village. Each person participating brings a monetary donation, 100% of collection is given to the Ali Forney Center.
