May 04, 2024 QUEENS, New York – A man was killed and three others were injured after shots rang out inside a venue hosting a baby shower in Queens early Saturday, cops said.
According to police officials, officers located a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest who was rushed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital with life threatening injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Officials say two additional men were also hit by gunfire, a 26-year-old male was shot in the right arm and a 45-year-old man was struck in the left leg. The injured pair were taken to area hospitals including one by private means and are both listed in stable condition.
Police responded to the venue at around 1:30 a.m., after multiple calls to 911 reported the shooting incident at 108-11 Atlantic Avenue in the Richmond Hill neighborhood in Queens.
There are no arrests and the investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing as NYPD detectives piece together what led to such a violent outcome.
