Rabbi and Wife among Five Injured during Kitchen Fire at Brooklyn Synagogue

March 29 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – Five people have been hurt, two in critical condition, when a fire broke out early Friday morning inside a synagogue in Brooklyn.

Fire broke out around 6:15 a.m. to 60th Street between 18th and 19th avenues in Mapleton at a three-story building with a synagogue on the first two floors. Officials say that a kitchen fire started the blaze on the second floor.
