March 2 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – Police arrest Pro-palestine protesters as they attempt to reach location where allegedly a GRENADE was left in an Uber on 42nd Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan.
Police say the bomb squad rushed to the scene after an Uber driver reported that after dropping off a passenger at 42nd Street and 7th Avenue in Times Square, he turned around and saw a grenade in the back seat of his Nissan Altima.
Chaotic scene unfolded as ESU police truck attempted to drive to the scene as thousands were marching on the road, blocking the truck as they proceeded with their protest. Police made multiple arrests, dragging some of the protesters on the ground.
NYPD chief of department posted on Twitter “Today several individuals decided to block a police vehicle ON ITS WAY TO A 911 CALL FOR A BOMB. Thankful that the call was fake. These individuals need to held accountable for the dangerous situation they created.”
Police say large protest group prevented ESU emergency truck from getting to a bomb threat scene, resulting in multiple arrests.

What started at Washington Square is now a march across manhattan in NYC is part of Global march for Rafah and as Rallies in cities around the world continue with calls for a permanent ceasefire.
The arrests and clashes came as an ESU truck was driving down 42nd toward the march. The police attempted to make space for the vehicle and some protesters appeared to get angry at the police. The cops then began grabbing protesters, some of whom were dragged in the street and lifted and tossed to the ground.
“Billions march for Rafah” protest was a global action, thousands also marched from Israeli Embassy in Washington DC.
