30 Arrested in Times Square

Thirty protesters were arrested for blocking the street during a protest against ICE and President Trump’s immigration policies. The protesters demand that certain businesses stop doing business with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and one such company is Thomson Reuters, whose office is on the corner of 7th Avenue and 42nd Street in Manhattan. After marching from the New York Public Library to the Reuters office, activists took to the streets and proceeded to block traffic both along 7th Avenue and 42nd Street.
20 females and 10 males were taken into custody according to the NYPD. The protest continued with music, dancing, and chanting as the arrested individuals were walked to the prisoner transport vehicles.
