September 14, 2022 | Hempstead, Long Island, New York: A 19-year-old male was gunned down and killed outside of a McDonald’s on Long Island Wednesday afternoon, police said. Hempstead police responded to the restaurant just before 4:30p.m. for 911 calls of multiple shots fired in the McDonald’s parking lot located at 340 Peninsula Blvd in Hempstead.
Upon police arrival, officers located a gravely wounded 19-year-old male victim, who did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. According to police officials, authorities believe the 19-year-old victim of the shooting was targeted but a motive is still unknown.
At approximately 4:26pm Hempstead Police responded to reports of shots fired outside of the fast food restaurant. The McDonald’s at 340 Peninsula Blvd is usually packed with students from the nearby Hempstead High School, however no students were injured as a result of the shooting, police said.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing.
