ARRESTED: Suspect Surrenders After Killing a Man on Manhattan Q Train

May 24, 2022 | MANHATTAN, NY: Just hours after a plea for public assistance from the NYPD for information that would lead to the capture of Andrew Abdullah, the wanted 25-year-old surrendered to authorities at the 5th precinct in lower Manhattan.

Abdullah, the shooting suspect was wanted in connection for the death of 48-year-old Daniel Enriquez, a subway rider shot & killed on a moving Q train in Manhattan on Sunday morning.

The suspect is seen escorted out of the 5th precinct by detectives in handcuffs to an awaiting jail transport vehicle was charged with Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

On Sunday May 22 a 48-year-old man named Daniel Enriquez was shot in the chest and killed while riding a Q train on Sunday morning. The train arrived at the Canal St Subway Station in Chinatown, NYC and the male victim was rushed by EMS to Bellevue Hospital, but did not survive his injuries, police said.

The shooting occurred on the northbound Q train just before 12 noon, as the moving train was arriving at the canal street station, when the perpetrator opened fire upon a random victim, striking the individual with one shot to the torso during an unprovoked attack, police said.

The suspect fled the station and there are no arrests at this time. The investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.
