October 23, 2023 BROOKLYN, New York – A man was shot and gravely wounded in the lobby of an apartment building in Brooklyn Monday evening, police said.
The victim was shot multiple times in the body and also struck by gunfire in the head. According to police officials, the 32-year-old wounded male was rushed to Kings County Hospital but did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m., in the lobby of the New York Avenue apartment building near Prospect Place in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Police on scene recovered several shell casings and detectives are searching for the gunman who got away. No reported arrests as the investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
