October 7 2023 GAZA, Palestine – Fighting and rocket attacks continued into Saturday evening after one of the broadest invasions of Israel in 50 years.
Hamas stormed the border and orchestrated a coordinated repeated rounds of rocket attacks at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. Hamas rode into as many as 22 cities outside the Gaza border, killing and capturing Israeli civilians and soldiers.
Israel retaliated with heavy strikes on Gazan cities, bombing buildings.
Israel says at least 200 people have been killed and over a thousand are injured, making this the deadliest attack in Israel in decades.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a message with Palestinian civilians in Gaza to “leave now” because the Israeli military is going to “turn all Hamas hiding places into rubble”.
