The Federal Reserve shapes US monetary policy and regulates financial institutions. “It has become a haven for Wall Street and corporate interests and has refused to fully acknowledge climate risk as financial risk. Banks will continue to fund the climate crisis unless they are forced to stop by regulators. The Fed must require banks to align their portfolio with a 1.5 degree future so the rest of us can live. The Fed must prioritize the health of our communities and our planet over the interests of big banks and corporations.” – organizer explained.

This week also marks an anniversary of Occupy Wallstreet .
