September 9 2023 BRONX, New York – Police shot and killed an alleged shoplifted at a local Throggs Neck 7-Eleven store on Saturday.
Shots were fired by police injuring the suspect at the 7-Eleven convenience store near E Tremont Ave & Barkley Ave in the Throggs Neck neighborhood of The Bronx. right around 2:30pm.
Police say the 22-year-old man was inside the store “acting suspicious” with a knife, a 7-ELEVEN worker called the police. 45th precinct, located right around the corner, responded to the scene and the suspect allegedly charged at officers with knife in hand and was shot near the store counter. Knife was seen lodged under the counter.
Officers say they applied first aid, but the man did not survive.
