Man split in half after Falling off ritzy Mandarin Hotel Roof in Columbus Circle – NYC

August 18 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – A man’s body was split in half after he jumped to his death from a roof of famous Midtown hotel, Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle on Thursday night

Incident happened around 9pm, witnesses say they saw a man in his 30s-40s, dressed in pajamas hit the awning of the hotel as he fell.

As hit the hotel’s glass awning, his body got split in half, an arm was found across the street, construction scaffolding seen dripping with blood, witnesses said.

The height he jumped from is reported as 750 feet, NYPD spokesman Lt. Thomas Antonetti said that the man was seen walking into the hotel and was not a guest or resident there – “He is seen on video walking into the hotel, then takes the elevator to the top, makes his way to the roof and jumps from the roof,” he stated to PEOPLE Magazine.
