MAJOR Skyscraper Crane Collapse, Black Smoke Rising as Crane Arm Collapsed onto Midtown Street

July 26 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – MAJOR Crane collapse from top of SKYSCRAPER in Midtown Manhattan on 40th street and 8th Avenue. Multiple injuries.

Black smoke was seen rising above the crain that collapsed onto a scaffolding. Five people are reported injured right now, one of them a fire fighter.

Officials reports that the upper arm of crane above the burning operator car collapsed, striking a joining building. NYPD Aviation reports HEAVY FIRE. FD streams are barely able to hit the fire.
