Man Stabbed to Death in Williamsburg Following Dispute over Suspect Taking Pictures

July 18 2023 BROOKLYN, New York – Brooklyn man stabbed to death after asking killer to stop taking pictures of his cousin, according to the NYPost.

Three people were standing outside of a deli on the corner of Roebling Street and South 9th Street in Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Police say an unknown attacker confronted them which turned into dispute, resulting in suspect repeatedly taking photos of one of the victims, nypost reports.



36-year-old Severiano “John” Reyes approached the suspect and told him to put his camera down, as he allegedly continued to take photos of Reyes’s cousin. Suspect stabbed Reyes in the neck and fled the scene.



Victim was rushed to local hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 45-year-old male was slashed in the neck and back, and a 27-year-old woman was stabbed in the wrist during the dispute.
