Three Teens Shot in Times Square Following Argument in “Gun Free Zone”

July 17 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Three teenagers were shot in the middle of busy Times Square on Monday evening after an alleged argument broke out.

Police officers responded to a call about a male victim shot at West 42nd Street and 7th Avenue around 11:47 p.m. on Monday evening.

Officers found a 15-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the leg and an 18-year-old victim also with a gunshot wound to the leg, officials confirmed.

The two victims were rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals Bellevue for treatment.

Officials said that a hird male victim, 17-years-old, was later found at a hospital with a graze wound to his shoulder.

Police say they believe the victims and suspect knew each other and that it likely wasn’t a random act, according to ABC7. Investigation is ongoing.
