July 8 2023 JERSEY CITY, New Jersey – Police fired shots at a person, after rushing to a report of gunfire in Jersey City Saturday evening, one person is dead.
New Jersey’s Attorney General is investigating the shooting that also involved US Marshals. Incident happened shortly after 11pm on Jefferson Avenue and Central Avenue in Jersey City.
EMS rushed to the scene to for a person suffering life-threatening injuries from the gunshot wounds. Victim was taken to local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Both Jersey City Police and The US Marshals Service were on the scene, there is no further information on who fired the weapons and who killed the victim.
Investigation is ongoing.
