Two Firefighters are Dead after Multiple were TRAPPED on a BURNING Ship in Newark New Jersey

July 5 2023 NEWARK, New Jersey – Several firefighters were trapped as a blaze burned through a car-carrying ship at Port Newark–Elizabeth Marine Terminal.

Multple firefighters were missing on a ship, transmitting a MAYDAY signal to the crews. Two firefighters were pulled into safety after battling the blaze and getting trapped in the back of the ship.

One firefighter, who was still trapped, had his legs stuck and had to be extracted, as crews attempted to remove him from Port at End of Suez street.

Crews were putting out fire of at least six vehicles on the ship, on the top deck, shortly before 9:30pm, as flames spread to other levels.

Last missing firefighter was lifted by medevac crane and given CPR.

Two firefighters have been killed while battling this on a ship docked at Port Newark, New Jersey.
