Sanitation Worker Charged With Shooting Teen and a Bystander in the Bronx

April 25, 2023 BRONX , New York – A NYC sanitation worker was arrested and charged Monday, for allegedly shooting two people including a teen on April 4 2023.

Sanitation worker, Richie Torres allegedly shot the teen and a bystander when the teen jumped into Torees’s car in the Bronx, police said.

Police say Richie Torres fired at his black Chevy Tahoe after a 16-year-old boy jumped inside Torres’s vehicle near Trafalgar Place and 176th Street around 10:20 p.m. on April 4th.

As shots rang, one of the bullets struck the teen in the shoulder, another hit a 28-year-old innocent bystander. Torres left the scene and did not report his car stolen.

Richie Torres was charged with Attempted Murder, Assault, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Reckless Endangerment
