Police Say They Shot a Man With Scissors who Lunged at them – BRONX

April 21 2023 BRONX, New York – Man allegedly armed with scissors lunged at the cops and was shot by the police near East 163rd and Washington Avenue.

Incident happened just before 9 a.m. when officers responded to reports of an emotionally disturbed person. When police arrived on the scene they found a man with scissors in his hand.

Police say they told the suspect to drop the scissors repeatedly, then shot at the suspect, hitting him once in the shoulder.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
