April 11, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Following a violent holiday weekend in Harlem, the criminal disregard continued as gunfire erupted in East Harlem, Tuesday afternoon leaving a young man with serious injuries.

According to police, just before 4:30pm, a 26-year-old man was found next to a pool of blood, with at least one critical shot to the head. The victim was found shot in front of a neighborhood liquor store, near the intersection of E 123rd Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem.
The victim was rushed by EMS to Harlem Hospital where the wounded man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased, police said.








“We just hear ‘pow pow pow’, I see this young lady starts running and then she ducks behind a car and starts crying. I’m just like something just happened, really bad.” said Otanu Evans when we spoke to him at the scene.

We also spoke to the staff of a nearby business who told FNTV, when the shooting started, they were alerted and damaged their own security gate in a haste to bring the gate down as people cleared the area for safety.





Detectives are searching for suspect involved in the deadly Harlem shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
