April 3 2023 MANHATTAN, New York – Two of the three suspects has been arrested and charged in connection to drugging and Robbery deaths of two men after they left clubs in Manhattan.
In 2022 fear spread through LGBTQ community in Manhattan as two men were drugged, robbed and then died after leaving gay bars in Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.
Officials say there are at least 17 cases around New York City that may be related to the suspects.
Ramirez was found dead last year in the back of a taxi, with his bank accounts emptied out after leaving Ritz Bar and Lounge in Hell’s Kitchen.
Umberger was found dead later in the year inside his East 61st Street apartment where he stayed on business.



Police say both incidents were ruled homicides after they victims were given drugs tainted with fentanyl.
Today, Robert DeMaio, 34, turned himself in to detectives with a lawyer to face charges of murder, robbery, grand larceny, identity theft and conspiracy.
