March 20, 2023 BRONX, New York – One person is dead after two people were shot at a Bronx Bodega near E 241st Street and White Plains Road, early Monday morning.
Detectives are searching for a group of suspects that fled following a shooting in the Wakefield section of the Bronx.
Officers confirm a 24-year-old man was shot in his stomach and EMS personnel rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. A 42-year-old man was shot in the right leg and is expected to survive his injuries.
According to police radio transmission, at least one suspect on a moped fled northbound on White Plains Road.
